A fun day!

I bought Casey a pass to go golfing at a municipal golf course (which means cheap) in Denver, as a School is Out for the Summer gift! And so I decided I would take the boys to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It was very cool, and we had a great time. Tytan actually enjoyed the exhibits and was interested in learning, as opposed to just playing. I loved seeing his mind at work. His favorite part was learning about the brain and the body parts. I told him he should be a doctor. Then he said, "What kind of doctor?" And I said, "Any kind you want." And he said, "How about a brain doctor?" So now, everyday, I am going to remind him that he is going to be a brain doctor when he grows up! Wouldn't that be something? haha. No pressure. The boys thanked me non-stop on the way home, for taking them to the museum. It was a great day! I have a TON of pictures on my Picasa Web Album. Go to http://picasaweb.google.com/brynnturnbaugh

Soccer

Tytan played his first official team sport, soccer! It was an interesting experience...to say the least! He had fun, so that is all that counts. Even if he didn't score a goal, sat in the goal, cared more about his gatorade then the game, enjoyed watching the birds in the sky, or skipping around on the field...at least he learned about team sports. Oh, and of course the best part of all....the trophy!!!

Fun Television Viewing

So one of my favorite shows on TV is Jon and Kate plus 8. I record the show every week and watch it, usually with my kids, because they like watching the craziness just as much as me! So they have twin 7 year olds, and then sextuplets that are about the same age as Tytan, almost 4. If ever I feel that being a mom is difficult, I just think about this mom, who truly amazes me, and I realize that I have it so easy! Do any of you watch this? I also love the dynamic between the husband and wife. They keep it real, they show their arguments, they lose their tempers, and yet they still are in love and play and laugh together. Amazing family! I would seriously go insane if I had eight kids, six of which were the same age. Kate, the mom, does two loads of laundry every day! And she sweeps and mops the floor after every meal. To top it all off, she only feeds her kids organic food! Truly amazing. Check it out on TLC.

Brotherly Love

So today I took Tytan to preschool. Another lady in my ward and I have decided to do a home school preschool. Because preschool is just so expensive here. She lives in the same apartment complex, and we met up to discuss a curriculum. So I did it last week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11am. And this week was her turn. Ty was so excited to go somewhere else for preschool. So we dropped him off and Tanner was immediately sad. I was going to try and have some fun alone time with Tanner. I really did think he would enjoy this, because he has been going through an extra clingy phase. I took him to Target and got him an icee and popcorn. We went all around the store, looked at the toys and everything. But the whole time he kept saying things like, "Where is Ty?" "Can we go get Ty now?" "Can we go find Ty?" Literally the whole time at the store. So then I didn't really need anything else, and it was cold and rainy, so we went home. The whole hour at home Tanner was saying the same things, until finally he started saying some other things that broke my heart! "I need Ty. He is my best friend. I love him!" Poor guy. So much for fun one on one time. You just can't beat that brotherly love. It is instinctual. I love it though, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Calling all bloggers!

Please take the polls located to the right. We find out on June 3rd what we are having, but we have started to think of a couple of options and want to know what you think. Keep in mind our last name, and the fact that our other two boys both start with T's and so if it is a boy we totally have to keep with the T theme! Be honest, the results are anonymous! Thanks!

Our 5th Anniversary

Casey and I will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary this Saturday. We have a lot to show for the past 5 years, our two handsome boys and a third baby on the way. Casey finished college, has been teaching at Douglas County High School for the past 3 years, and been an amazing Dad and husband at the same time. I cherish the memories we have from the past 5 years and can't wait to see what the next 5 holds!

His birthday was April 10th. I know this post is a little late, but better late than never, right?

Is there something wrong with this picture?

Yes, there absolutely is. It is May 1st, and this is what I woke up to this morning! I am sorry, but that is just wrong on so many levels. First of all, it was sunny and 75 degrees yesterday. I was so excited that my kids got to wear shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals. Hurray! No more socks. Socks are just so annoying to me. Well, then this morning I woke up to snow, and now it is 10am and still snowing. I am a little annoyed. It is supposed to be cold and possible SNOWY on my birthday...tomorrow! I have never been in snow on my birthday. Well, many of you are thinking that this is what I get for living in Colorado, and you are right. I do not mind the snow most of the time, but when it is May 1st and I have gotten all of my kids summer clothes out in anticipation of warm weather...I become a little angry! Ugh....okay, I am done. Glad I got that out!
